About Compiled 8hz MP3 Encoder:
This is a compile of Marco Nelissen's BeOS patch for the 8hz MP3 encoder. It requires you to drag and drop WAV files on it. I suggest the cdda-fs, available here at BeBits.
It took me about an hour to follow his directions at http://www.xs4all.nl/~marcone/8hz.html and get it to work, so I figured I'd save everyone the trouble.
It is very tempermental, and may not work, or may only compile one per run session unless you boot without hardly anything in your UserBootscript.
I started losing count of the programs it conflicted with, but BackOnTrack was one of them.
If you don't like this, try the compiled version at BeWare that someone else posted. Good Luck.
