Two guys and a server... that's BeBits! Since the beginning, Greg Nichols and Sean Heber have done all of the design, coding, and administration required to keep BeBits up and running smoothly (and that's a lot!) Read on for a bit more about each of them. Also, if you're a history buff, we've compiled A Short History of BeBits.
Greg Nichols - greg@bebits.com
Greg is a graduate of Central College, a small school in the great metropolis of Pella, Iowa. He is also President of Fifth Ace Productions, LLC, which is the company that he and Sean formed to take care of whatever stuff they decide it would be fun to do.
Greg does nearly all of the design work on BeBits, and writes most of the content as well. Other tasks include public relations, site administration, and listening to Sean whine about how long it takes to run various SQL queries.
Before Greg helped found Fifth Ace, he worked a couple of internships, including almost two years at a multimedia design company, a summer at a software company, and another summer as part of the IT staff of John Deere (yes, the tractor people). Greg has a pet chinchilla, Stormy, who just had to be mentioned somewhere in here.

Sean Heber - sean@bebits.com
Sean is a graduate of Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa. He serves as the Secretary of Fifth Ace Productions, a position which actually gives him more to do than the President. Sean is also the genius who came up with BeBits in the first place, so y'all have him to thank.
Sean is responsible for nearly all of the backend of BeBits; that is, the code and database systems which make the site work the way it does. He also handles site administration tasks and public relations, comes up with a fair amount of new concept ideas for BeBits, and watches Greg get mad as Netscape refuses to render tables correctly.
Sean has been working the online scene for quite some time now; his first job, in fact, was sysop of the utterly cool Galaxy BBS (which at its peak had six incoming lines). This position developed into nearly 4 years as webmaster of Dubuque's largest ISP. Sean has also put in a few years as an IT staff member at McGraw Hill.

Marvin
OK, so Marvin isn't actually a person, or a robot either for that matter, but is no less important for it! Marvin is our GeekTek powerhouse server, and is responsible for keeping BeBits up and running. Unlike Sean and Greg, Marvin is actually cool enough to have his very own page; check out The Marvin Page for tech specs and information on the hardware and software the BeBits team uses to make all of this happen. (Just in case you were wondering, the picture shown above is actually an image of Marvin's namesake, Marvin the Paranoid Android. Marvin the BeBits server is housed in a lovely beige case.)
